Brrrr!
Interesting...another map!
Abbi and 29 degrees do not mix. It's a minus in the C's!!
We were captivated by the deer that didn't move when we were 3 feet away...until we came within 10 ft of a massive 6x6 bull elk. We regretted not having our camera for the elk.
Our favorite bus driver on the free shuttle service - which we made good use of in the cold, foggy weather.
Thankfully we did not have to worry about this one
Getting our packs ready for a day of hiking around the Canyon
Yet another map to captivate Joel
Don't sit on these, it doesn't feel very good
Joel's boyhood neighbors were even here visiting!
A view of the desert watchtower
Inside the tower
Spent the weekend at the Grand Canyon! It was beautiful, but cold and rainy most of the time. We rode the shuttle around and checked out all the visitor centers and museums. There were a lot of tourists in the South Rim area despite the cold weather. Seeking warmer temps, we headed to the Paria Canyon-Vermillion Cliffs Wilderness Area (between Page, AZ and Kanab, UT). We have a lot of great pictures to post from the Buckskin Gulch Canyon we hiked through yesterday, so stay tuned.......
Poor freezing cold Abbi!
